In the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
The first, easy, part of the Mount Robson Berg Lake Trail. Quite early in the day.
A stunning highway which leads you from Banff National Park to Jasper National Park. It's called Highway 93. The bridge really adds scale to this grand landscape.
This was a very special day. The Lake O?Hara area is a closed area and only accessible for a select few who were able to get a ticket. We heard that you can buy a ticket if there are cancellations. On the last day it would be open that season, we got up early and waited in the pouring rain. As you can see, we were very lucky. On arrival, the rain stopped and we were greeted with stunning light.
The scene you see here only lasted for a few seconds, so we really were at the same place at the right time.
I added two stones on top. It adds a mystic feel to this great place.
Lake Louise is a stunning place, except for all the tourists and the massive hotel next to it ;)
Lake Minnewanka (?Water of the Spirits? in Nakota ? the Stoney Indian language) early in the morning.
This lake is a few miles from the city of Banff in Banff National Park, Rocky Mountains, Canada.
A beautiful sunrise in the city of Haarlem, The Netherlands.
I do not remember what scared the birds, but it stopped them from their morning break on the St. Bavochurch.
This morning I woke up around 5 and saw beautiful light coming into the room. I immediately got out of bed, grabbed the camera and forget about the amount of drinking we did the night before.
The best sunrise I ever saw!
Shot this sunset in Cuba when we decided to not go further down this road and turn back to another city to spend the night. It was stunning, as you can see.
A pretty amazing view on the Isle of Arran in Scotland.
Early morning light barely touching the snowy grounds of Elswout estate near Haarlem, The Netherlands.
This truly was a beautiful day to go out shooting. As you can tell I woke up very early that day. I spend the whole day taking pictures and freezing my fingers off.
Shot on a beautiful scenic road in Cuba in 2006. The road itself was pretty terrible though!

The lights in this image are spots that mark the border of the area that was bombed during the Rotterdam Blitz.
The Rotterdam Blitz refers to the aerial bombardment of Rotterdam by the German Air Force on 14 May 1940, during the German invasion of the Netherlands in World War II. The objective was to support the German troops fighting in the city, break Dutch resistance, and force the Dutch to surrender.

An almost scary sunset in IJmuiden, The Netherlands.
IJmuiden is a city in the Dutch province of North Holland, the main town of the municipality of Velsen. It lies about 17 km (10.3 mi) north of Haarlem. In the Roman era, this Velsen district was already inhabited, and archeological finds indicate there was a North Sea port of some regional importance built here. The town suffered heavy damage and demolition during World War II, because of its maritime importance.
The IJmuiden name literally means IJmouth of the IJ which is a hint to the importance the town has for the Amsterdam harbor.
